BioTreatED at ENVIRONTEC powered by Ökoindustria 2026 exhibition

The BioTreatED project is being represented at ENVIRONTEC powered by ÖKOINDUSTRIA 2026, one of the leading environmental industry events in the region, taking place from 7–9 October 2026 at the HUNGEXPO Budapest Congress and Exhibition Center.

The Institute of Aquaculture and Environmental Safety (MATE AKI) of the Hungarian University of Agriculture and Life Sciences (MATE) is participating in the exhibition in Hall E, presenting its research activities and highlighting the BioTreatED project and its contribution to sustainable water management and environmental safety.

BioTreatED focuses on the development of bio-based approaches for the removal of hormone-active and endocrine-disrupting compounds from irrigation water. By exploring the potential of microorganisms and biological treatment processes, the project aims to contribute to more sustainable approaches to water quality management and safer agricultural practices.

ENVIRONTEC provides an important platform for bringing together research, innovation, industry and environmental practice. Participation in the event offers an opportunity to present the objectives and research activities of BioTreatED, exchange knowledge with professionals working in the environmental sector, and establish new connections with stakeholders interested in sustainable water management and innovative environmental technologies.

Visitors to the exhibition are welcome to meet the MATE AKI team and learn more about the BioTreatED project, its research activities and the potential of biological approaches in addressing emerging water-quality challenges.
