We are pleased to share that an article presenting the scientific background and objectives of the BioTreatED project has been published in the 2026/2 issue of the MASZESZ Newsletter.

Entitled “Estrogen Hormones, Their Effects, and Methods for Their Detection and Assessment”, the article discusses the effects of estrogenic micropollutants on aquatic organisms, as well as methods for their detection and assessment. The authors are Dr Gergő Tóth, Dr Zsolt Imre Csenki-Bakos, Emília Laura Dzsudzsák, Dr Balázs Kriszt and Dr Edit Kaszab. The article also presents the objectives of BioTreatED, with a particular focus on developing sustainable, bio-based solutions to reduce the environmental impact of hormone-active pollutants.
